Next Nest welcomes John Menges to its turkey technical team. Menges is one of the most passionate turkey specialists in the industry. He is vocal about turkey welfare and the desire for continuous turkey performance improvement. His customer-focused mindset and desire to help provide solutions to the turkey industry will be valuable assets for its team. Menges' experience and passion will help drive Next Nest’s momentum as it grows and expands hatchery technology.
Menges spent the last few years with Best Vet Solutions (BVS). His decades of turkey experience were built by working in PA, VA and with turkey growers across the country. He spent years of his career in turkey barns, observing, learning and making needed changes to grow the best turkeys.
This extensive experience and close relationship with the industry have prepared Menges to lead ts technical team to first research how to best prepare barns for birds already eating and drinking and then will help educate the industry to execute the best practices he uncovers. "John was a perfect fit when looking to grow our team because of his past experience and professional goals that aligned with our company goals of improving animal welfare, enhancing poulty performance and positively impacting our customer’s bottom line,” said Peter Gruhl.
