Krispy Krunchy Chicken introduces new value meal

Four-dollar value meal addresses the growing demand for affordable dining options.

Krispy Krunchy Chicken has introduced a new $4 value meal, entering the competitive summer value meal market. The offering is designed to provide quality and value, addressing the growing demand from customers seeking affordable dining options without compromising on taste.

Jim Norberg, CEO of Krispy Krunchy Chicken, commented, "Value is more important than ever in today’s economy, and that’s especially true for our operators’ guests. We represent quality, cravability, and value—and so as these guests demand more value, we’re finding a way to make it happen without compromising on quality. Our operators recognize the need to keep traffic strong, and this offer will do that."

The $4 value meal features a choice of two pieces of dark meat bone-in fried chicken or two hand-breaded white-meat Cajun Tenders. The bone-in option offers a 2-piece combo of hand-breaded mildly Cajun-spiced drumsticks, thighs or full wings. Each meal is paired with Krispy Krunchy potato wedges. This value meal is available Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at participating locations, while supplies last. It is not available for ordering through DoorDash, UberEats, GrubHub or other digital platforms.

Earlier this year, Krispy Krunchy Chicken featured the "Your Choice" meal deals, where customers could choose from three different products with Krispy Krunchy potato wedges for $5.99.

The value meal trend is not unique to Krispy Krunchy Chicken, as other chains also offer budget-friendly deals. QuikChek's summer value menu includes 2-for-$5 breakfast combos, $6 subs, and $3 or $4 cold drinks, alongside a hot honey menu. EG America offers value-based combos, such as a $4 deal for two donuts and a large coffee, and a $5 meal deal with roller grill or pizza items, a drink, and chips. Larger quick-service restaurants, like McDonald's and Burger King, have also launched $5 meal deals to attract budget-conscious customers.

McDonald's has noted a decline in order frequency as customers look for more affordable options, with its June quarter net income falling over 12% from the previous year, according to the Wall Street Journal.
