USPOULTRY and the USPOULTRY Foundation are now accepting pre-proposals for the 2025 Spring Research Competition. Colleges, universities and research facilities are invited to submit one-page summaries outlining their potential research projects by Nov. 1, 2024. The Foundation Research Advisory Committee, comprised of industry professionals, will evaluate these pre-proposals and invite full proposals that align with current research priorities.
USPOULTRY updates its list of research priorities every two years. The 2024-2025 research priorities cover key areas such as animal welfare, meat bird management, diseases, food safety, nutrition, environmental management, and more. Full details and submission instructions are available at uspoultry.org.
Pre-proposals addressing emerging issues not on the priority list are also welcome and will be evaluated based on the strength of their justification for addressing an important research need. Funding decisions for selected projects will be announced in April 2025.
USPOULTRY and its Foundation have invested over $36 million in research grants, supporting more than 50 universities and federal/state facilities since the inception of the program.
