2025 International Rendering Symposium coming in January

The gathering will cover aquaculture, global trade flows and initiatives supporting the circular bioeconomy.

The rendering industry’s critical contributions to animal agriculture’s economic and environmental sustainability will take center stage at the 2025 International Rendering Symposium. Held in conjunction with the 2025 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta, the symposium will delve into the use of rendered products in aquaculture, global trade flows and initiatives supporting the circular bioeconomy.

The symposium, hosted by the North American Renderers Association (NARA) and the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY), is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 30, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in room B-312 / B-313a. A reception will follow the sessions. Registration costs $250.

Symposium Agenda

The event is organized into three thematic sections:

  1. Use of Rendered Products in Aquaculture

    • Topics include the role of amino acids and animal products in aquaculture feed and the integration of insects for sustainable agriculture
  2. Global Trade Flows of the Circular Bioeconomy

    • Insights into African market opportunities, international markets for animal fats and proteins, and pathways toward sustainable practices
  3. Global Initiatives for a Circular Bioeconomy

    • Focus on circular bioeconomy practices, feed ingredient applications and food waste utilization in feed production

The 2025 IPPE will take place Jan. 28–30 and combines three leading trade shows:

  • International Feed Expo
  • International Poultry Expo
  • International Meat Expo

These events represent the full chain of protein production and processing. Sponsored by USPOULTRY, the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) and the Meat Institute, IPPE serves as a vital forum for industry innovation, education, and networking.
