The Joint Industry Safety & Health Council honored six poultry facilities with the Frank Cruice Innovation in Safety & Health Award at the 2025 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) for advancements in safety and health innovation. The recognized facilities include Tyson Foods (Monett, MO), Case Farms (Winesburg, OH), Culver Duck Farms (Middlebury, IN), Farbest Foods (Vincennes, IN), Darling Ingredients (Las Vegas, NV) and Perdue Farms (Concord, NC).
The award, named after Frank Cruice, a retired safety leader from Perdue, acknowledges process- and equipment-based innovations in poultry processing, production, feed manufacturing, animal support services and rendering. Winners were selected by a panel of judges.
The Joint Industry Safety & Health Council, comprising the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, National Chicken Council and National Turkey Federation, represents companies producing 95% of the nation's poultry products and employing over 350,000 workers.
