Steve Lerch to speak at 2025 Animal Ag Alliance Summit

The event will take place in April.

The Animal Agriculture Alliance’s 2025 Stakeholders Summit will welcome back Steve Lerch, president of Story Arc Consulting and former Google executive, to explore how artificial intelligence (AI) can benefit animal agriculture. The 2025 Summit, themed “Food for Thought: Dishing on Sustainability,” will take place April 30-May 2 in Arlington, Va.

Lerch’s session, “Serving Up Sustainability Conversations Using Artificial Intelligence,” will focus on practical AI applications for the industry. He will demonstrate how generative AI tools—such as ChatGPT and Gemini—can help industry professionals simplify complex data, enhance communication and share more compelling stories about animal agriculture. "Artificial intelligence is a tool that can help us take the farm and food communities to the next level," said Hannah Thompson-Weeman, Alliance president and CEO. "Steve’s session will break down the complexities of AI and provide attendees with simple, actionable tools to implement immediately."

A sought-after keynote speaker and consultant, Lerch spent a decade at Google crafting digital strategies for brands like GoPro, the U.S. Census Bureau and national agricultural groups such as Avocados From Mexico and the National Pork Board. His company, Story Arc Consulting, specializes in food and agriculture, working with clients like John Deere, California Milk and Kansas City Steaks.
