Terrence O'Keefe headshotTerrence O'Keefe, editor of Egg Industry and content director at WATT Global Media.

Terrence O'Keefe has served as editor of Egg Industry since 2011 and has also been content director for WATT Global Media since 2017. He has served a number of different roles at WATT since initially joining the company in 2000 as editor of Poultry Digest and Turkey Industry editor for WATT PoultryUSA magazine. Prior to joining WATT, O’Keefe spent 14 years working for poultry producers Rocco Inc. and WLR Foods in a variety of roles including turkey field service person, financial analyst, processing plant production scheduler, processing line supervisor, first and second processing manager and processing plant general manager. He received a B.S. in biology from William & Mary, an M.S. in poultry science from Penn State and an MBA from James Madison.

 

Dr. Guillermo Zavala is the founder of Avian Health International.  Dr Zavala holds a DVM and a specialty in poultry production from the University of Mexico; a Master of Science, a Master of Avian Medicine, and a PhD in medical microbiology from the University of Georgia. He has worked in broiler and breeding companies, vaccine companies, one diagnostic laboratory, two academic institutions and as Adjunct Professor at the Department of Population Health, University of Georgia. His field of research is in applied virology (CIAV, IBDV, tumor viruses, ILT, enteric viruses and fowl adenovirus). He has 32 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
