An information campaign that highlights the benefits of eating pig and poultry meat, and eggs, has been launched by the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA).

Entitled Sabor e Saude para Sua Familia - flavor and health for your family -  the campaign details the health benefits of derived from consuming the three proteins, in particular those of strengthening the immune system, and the ease of preparation.

The campaign is being rolled out strategically, starting with the pork campaign, in various regions. The pig and pork campaigns will air on free to view television channels, radio stations and online, and will run for two months. The egg campaign comprises a series of banner ads.

Different perspective

Commenting on the promotion, ABPA President Ricardo Santin said: “We want to offer a different perspective on the importance of consuming proteins. We are not talking simply about flavor, or the benefits for specific diets, such as for fitness.

“Consuming poultry, pork and eggs has a direct positive impact on strengthening the human immune system. Because of this, we also see the campaign as a way of sharing information that is of interest from a public heath perspective”
