The Midwest Poultry Federation (MPF) Convention welcomes its annual trade show and convention “Back to the Future” on March 22-24, 2022, at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The nation’s largest trade show and convention, MPF has made some important improvements to the education program. The new program will be focused on four tracks: pullet/egg layer, turkey, broiler and processing (meat and eggs). Each education track will run for one hour each day, March 22, 23 and 24. The Pre-Show Nutrition and Poultry Health Symposium will be held as usual on Tuesday, March 22.

For more space, the trade show portion of MPF is moving to a larger area within the Minneapolis Convention Center on the street level and 2nd floor of the building.

Another new addition to the convention is “Poultry Ted Talks,” which will take place on Wednesday, March 23. Every half hour from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Exhibit Hall floor, poultry graduate students and MPF exhibitors will give short, informal presentations on various industry topics.

In addition to the new education tracks, MPF is bringing a unique “Slice of Learning” event, which takes knowledge gained from the Pullet/Egg Layer Track and has attendees working together to discuss the future of cage-free production.

“In this Slice of Learning session, we will develop concrete steps for the industry to take in order to get production where it needs to be by 2025, which is the deadline for cage-free production imposed by many retail and foodservice companies,” said MPF President Scott Waldner, who represents the Chicken and Egg Association (CEAM) on the MPF Board of Directors, in a press release.

The 3rd annual networking event, MPF Unhatched, will kick off opening night, Tuesday, March 22 from 6:30 to 10 p.m., at the Hilton Minneapolis Hotel with food and entertainment. The event allows a more casual vibe for networking and meeting with colleagues and friends.
