A Raising Cane’s located in Johnson County, Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, sold a lot more chicken than normal on Monday, November 20th, 2023. This is because the fried chicken restaurant chain welcomed Donna Kelce, also known as Mama Kelce and one of the most famous football moms in the U.S., at its drive-thru window last week.

According to news outlet WMTV, Mama Kelce took orders at the drive-thru and front register and interacted with a countless number of fans, hearing how much they appreciate her and how good her two sons are at football.

Many fans waited hours in line to see Mama Kelce, get her autograph and of course buy some Raising Cane’s chicken. Additionally, the chain posted a video of the event on their TikTok page.

“I can’t believe they want to see me, I understand my boys are celebrities, I’m just a mom,” she stated.

While Mama Kelce was taking orders for thousands of fans, her sons Travis Kelce, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, and Jason Kelce, who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, prepared for a match up the same night at Arrowhead stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

While I love Raising Cane’s, I don’t think I would have waited in a line of thousands of people to get it, unless Mama Kelce had brought along her potential future daughter in-law Taylor Swift.

Raising Cane’s has done other celebrity partnerships

Raising Cane’s isn’t new to collaborations with famous people.

In April 2023, the chain partnered with rapper Post Malone. Malone custom designed one of the chain’s Utah locations, located less than 15 minutes from Malone’s home.

On the outside, the renovation features a pink exterior with tattoo imagery resembling the rapper’s. On the inside, outfits worn by Malone are displayed on the wall, along with a vending machine wrapped in pink vinyl offering shirts, beanies, socks, magnets, keychains and other exclusive merchandise.

Additionally, Malone created a signature combo for the location called the ‘Posty’s Way’ box. The offering includes four chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, two Cane’s Sauces, two Texas toast and a half unsweet tea/half lemonade in a 32 oz. Collector’s Cup.
