Iowa-based information technology company PrairiE Systems has become a subsidiary of JBS United.
Both companies have a common goal of supporting livestock producers and the industry in providing a traceable safe food product to consumers, and the new partnership will further support that vision, according to the companies. "This acquisition will generate significant operational benefits for pork producers, and the synergy created by combining the resources of JBS United and PrairiE Systems will increase the overall corporate value for both the nutrition and emerging technologies group and JBS United as a whole,” said Doug Webel, chief operating officer of JBS.
