Best chili winner named at Meat Me in @LANTA competition

Tim Mastalski from Dantanna’s restaurant was named Best Overall Chili winner at the 2013 Meat Me in @LANTA competition, held at the International Production & Processing Expo on January 29. The event was sponsored by the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, the American Meat Institute, Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau, Georgia World Congress Center and Levy Restaurants.

Tim Mastalski from Dantanna’s restaurant was named Best Overall Chili winner at the 2013 Meat Me in @LANTA competition, held at the International Production & Processing Expo on January 29. The event was sponsored by the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, the American Meat Institute, Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau, Georgia World Congress Center and Levy Restaurants.

Twenty-two of Atlanta’s top professional chefs competed for the honor of being named Best Chili winner by hall and then Best Overall Chili winner. Each chef submitted their best chili, using beef, bison, boar, turkey, pork or chicken. The chili was voted on by the attendees of the IPPE, with the best chili winner for the A-Hall going to Andrew Denaro of Hard Rock Café who created a turkey chili. The best chili for the B-Hall went to Tim Mastalski of Dantanna’s, who created a beef chili.
