Biofuel manufacturer acquires machinery company

The majority share (80 percent) of Shanghai Shende Machinery was acquired in February 2013 by the Andritz Group and is now part of the Andritz Feed and Biofuel business area. The company provides cost-effective feed and biomass technologies and solutions to the Chinese market.

The majority share (80 percent) of Shanghai Shende Machinery was acquired in February 2013 by the Andritz Group and is now part of the Andritz Feed and Biofuel business area.

Shanghai Shende Machinery was established in 1992. The company provides cost-effective feed and biomass technologies and solutions to the Chinese market. The company also developed a new pelleting technology business within the China and South East Asia biofuel sector.

Shende will be operated from the Shende plant in Songjiang district Shanghai, and will be managed by Ren Shu.

Shende product lines, project design and aftermarket offerings will be streamlined and marketed as separate brand relative to Andritz Feed and Biofuel brand product lines and services in the market.

Andritz Feed and Biofuel operates in China with manufacturing plant in Sanshui, Guangdong  Province and project engineering and sales offices located in Liyang City, Jiangsu Province.

For 2012, Andritz reported global sales of EUR$5,177 million and has 18,000 employees worldwide.
