Andrew Hunt will join Hybrid Turkeys on March 18, 2024, as president, succeeding Dave Libertini, who will move into the role of senior advisor.

Hunt is an experienced animal and agribusiness executive who has worked throughout the United States and Canada. He has vast experience and a proven track record of success in the Feed and Animal Health industry. He started his career with Shur-Gain and held general management positions with Nutreco USA and Trouw Nutrition. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President (Animal Health & Wellness) with PBI Gordon, a U.S.-based company working in the pet animal health sector.

Libertini re-joined the Turkey Business Unit (BU) of Hybrid Turkeys in April 2023, on an interim basis, while the company worked to find a suitable long-term replacement for the position of president. During the last 10 months Libertini has worked closely with the teams around the world to empower and mentor them to deliver the Hybrid product, quality, and experience that Hybrid Turkeys is known for.

Libertini will continue to be involved with BU Turkeys as senior advisor,  whereby he is supporting the BU Management Team and working closely with Hunt and the general managers in each region of operation. Libertini’s extensive knowledge of the industry, and his to clients, will ensure continued focus on the company’s customers and a sufficient transfer of knowledge.

“It has been a pleasure coming back and seeing many familiar faces in the industry. My objective since coming back has been to ensure we have the right people, in the right positions, to move Hybrid in the right direction, for our customers and for the industry. We have a great team in place, and where we are today is not because of any one person, but rather a team effort and focus on our customers. Andrew is a natural addition to continue growing our team to ensure a strong foundation for the future,” said Libertini.

Hunt and his family will relocate soon to allow him to be based at the North American Headquarters in Ontario, Canada.
