NOVUS International Announces Partnership with Halchemix Canada

Halchemix will be the exclusive distributor for NOVUS' MINTREX and MHA

NOVUS International, Inc. has forged a new collaboration with Halchemix Canada Inc. to supply amino acid and trace mineral products to Canada's animal agriculture sector, marking a significant expansion in its distribution network.

Effective March 1, 2024, Halchemix will act as the exclusive distributor for Novus' MINTREX® Bis-Chelated Trace Minerals products and MHA® Feed Additive. Additionally, it will serve as a sales agent for ALIMET® Feed Additive.

Mark Moran, executive regional sales manager, NOVUS, emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership in reaching more poultry, swine, and dairy producers across Canada.

"Canada’s geography is expansive. An internal assessment indicated it would take extensive resources to ensure customers receive the products they want and service they deserve if we continued to work in-house," Moran said. "Working with Halchemix will allow us to reach more poultry, swine, and dairy producers while also providing excellent customer service."

Under the partnership, Halchemix will oversee sales and distribution for MINTREX® Bis-Chelated Trace Minerals and MHA® Feed Additive, while NOVUS' technical services team will continue to support customers and offer assessments through the C.O.W.S.® Program.

Halchemix, established in 1986, specializes in inbound and outbound trucking services throughout Canada, alongside formulation and technical support for its clientele. President Lyndon Hiebert expressed enthusiasm about incorporating Novus products into their offerings.

"I’ve observed NOVUS most of my career," Hiebert said. "I’m excited to partner with a company that has demonstrated its commitment to the research behind its products and has a robust technical team actively evaluating the products for the new challenges and opportunities customers are experiencing."

NOVUS plans to introduce more products from its feed additives portfolio to the Canadian market as regulatory processes permit.
