Cantrell, a poultry and food processing equipment sales/parts and service company, has added a new machining center to accommodate increased production demands for equipment and OEM parts in its manufacturing site.
Cantrell invested in a Haas VF 3YT machining center to improve its equipment and parts manufacturing process. The new technology of the Haas machine allows Cantrell's workers to make quicker changes in programming the machine for different cuts.
"This new addition provides greater machining capabilities than our previous ones, which has enabled us to increase production without needing additional manpower," Tony Rice, Cantrell general manager of finance and operation said. "This improves our manufacturing process of equipment and parts."
The Haas VF 3YT has increased machining capabilities by 30 percent at the plant.
