Noelle O’Mara, who previously worked as Tyson Foods’ chief marketing officer (CMO) and president of its Prepared Foods business, has been named to the executive team of Conagra Brands.

Conagra announced on April 29 that it has appointed O’Mara as executive vice president and New Platforms and Acquisitions president.

"I'm excited and humbled to join the incredible team at Conagra Brands," said O'Mara. "I look forward to building upon the company's success and fueling continued growth as we further our consumer driven portfolio."

In this role, O'Mara will be responsible for identifying and scaling new organic growth platforms and acquisitions. This work will span strategy, product innovation, commercialization, synergy capture, and in-market execution.

"Noelle's leadership and track record of delivering results will be instrumental in advancing Conagra's ambition to further scale emerging brands while delivering an ambitious innovation and growth strategy," said Sean Connolly, president and CEO of Conagra Brands.

O’Mara’s appointment is effective May 6.

O’Mara, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business, previously worked in leadership roles with Tyson Foods and Kraft Foods.

She joined Tyson Foods in April 2016 as vice president of new business models. In 2019, O’Mara was promoted to the newly created position of chief marketing officer. Several months after that, she was again promoted to the position of president of Prepared Foods. She held that position for about three years, before leaving the company.

Tyson Foods announced in September 2022 that O’Mara “decided to pursue other opportunities.” In that same announcement, Tyson revealed several reassignments within the company’s leadership. O’Mara’s position was filled by Stewart Glendinning, who at the time was Tyson’s chief financial officer (CFO). John R. Tyson, then the company’s chief sustainability officer, was named the new CFO. Glendinning has since left Tyson to become the CEO of Express Inc.

During her time with Kraft Foods, O’Mara held several senior level general manager positions, and she was awarded with the Chicago Crains "40 under 40" recognition.
