While the lactational response of dairy cows fed fiber-degrading enzymes has been scarce and inconsistent, recent studies suggest the effectiveness of fiber-degrading enzymes to improve milk production and milk components is possible.
Improvements in dairy cow performance can be attributed to the feeding of exogenous fiber-degrading enzyme products. The feed additives increase the animal's feed digestion and intake.
