Adisseo recently received CFIA approval for Alterion, a probiotic for poultry. After extensive screening, Alterion was selected for its ability to consistently balance gut microbiota and improve bird performance. Alterion was developed in partnership with Novozymes, a leading biotechnology company.
Alterion was developed from a unique strain of Bacillus subtilis, a naturally occurring bacterium found in soil. Added to feed, it has been shown to help improve poultry gut health, by positively influencing the microbiota, strengthening the gut barrier and helping reduce the inflammatory response. This leads to an improvement of BWG and FCR.
