Trouw Nutrition International's Novasil Plus-TX is approved as an aflatoxin binder in livestock animal feed in Texas. The company says Novasil Plus-TX binds aflatoxin in the intestinal tract of livestock animals, and this bond remains stable at various pH levels in the gut, allowing the bound aflatoxin to pass through the animal's gut and be excreted in the feces. According to Trouw, Novasil Plus-TX does not interfere with essential nutrients in the gut so they remain available to the animal.
