The World Water Works Duo Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor reduces the total Kjeldahl nitrogen and biochemical oxygen demand levels in poultry processing waterwater. The process uses biofilm carrier elements made of high-density polyethylene. The elements allow bacteria to grow and degrade the nitrogen. An aeration grid at the bottom of the reactor provides the bacteria with the necessary oxygen to function. The Biofilm Reactor is automated, and operators can control the system remotely or on location with a touch screen.
