FMC Spectrum biocide for direct poultry carcass treatment can be used in multiple intervention points and applied by adding to spray, wash, rinse, dip, chill, scald or other poultry processing water. The USDA has issued a No Objection letter for Spectrum in online reprocessing systems. Compared to chlorine, this peracetic acid-based product is more stable and produces a low pH environment in the chiller.
