Register to learn how to manage grain aeration during storage, proper temperature levels for different commodities, and advice for loading bins for optimal airflow.

Join us for the second installment of SLAM 360: The Full Circle of Grain Quality Preservation, a webinar series devoted to education on grain systems Sanitation, Loading, Aeration, and Monitoring. Grain quality can never be improved once it’s harvested from the field, but it can be maintained — and we’ll teach you how.Brock Spnsrby 200px

Following up on Part 1’s recommendations for sanitation and loading, this webinar will focus on grain aeration strategies to prevent loss and maximize profitability. Learn about the tools and equipment used to control airflow through a grain mass, and methods for determining how long to aerate grain to reach the optimal temperature for different commodities. Iowa State University’s Dr. Dirk Maier, the developer of the SLAM concept, has three decades of experience teaching it and will lend his expertise on today’s grain quality management best practices.

This webinar will broadcast at 10:00 AM CDT (Chicago) / 4:00 PM BST (London) / 11:00 PM CST (Beijing).

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:

  1. The SLAM concept, including what proactive measures to take at each of the four steps and their benefits.
  2. How to manage grain aeration during storage, proper temperature levels for different commodities, and advice for loading bins for optimal airflow.
  3. Proper selection of fans, ducts and equipment required for cooling and monitoring stored grain temperature.

This webinar is sponsored by Brock Grain Systems and presented by Feed & Grain, and Feed Strategy.
