Mavromichalis I 90pxGUEST MODERATOR - Dr. Ioannis Mavromichalis, Principal of Ariston Nutrition Consulting International.

Dr. Ioannis Mavromichalis holds an MSc (Kansas State University, 1997) and Ph.D. (University of Illinois, 2000) degrees in animal nutrition. He worked as a commercial nutritionist in the USA and Europe for eight years before establishing Ariston Nutrition Consulting International in 2008, in which he currently serves as the Managing Director. Dr. Mavromichalis is a prolific writer, having produced all kinds of media content since 1990. Currently, he publishes articles and blogs in Feed Strategy and Feed & Grain magazines, in the USA. Dr. Mavromichalis has published three books on piglet nutrition – a favorite topic of his – and he is working now on his fourth book. Finally, Dr. Mavromichalis is very active on LinkedIn. He maintains an active network of almost 7,000 followers, publishing short posts on all matters pertaining to animal nutrition and health three times per week.


Mireille Arguelles 90pxDr. Mireille Arguelles-Ramos, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Poultry Nutrition of Animal and Veterinary Sciences at Clemson University

Dr. Arguelles-Ramos has a Ph.D. in Animal & Poultry Science and Physiology from North Carolina State University and a bachelor’s and master’s in Animal Industry at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus. She is a poultry nutritionist with 14 years of experience formulating commercial and research premixes and finished feeds. Dr. Arguelles-Ramos served as technical manager for animal nutrition companies, such as ADM and Novus International, Inc., for Puerto Rico and North America. Clemson University has been collaborating with the USCP by developing and testing well-known varieties and novel hybrids of sorghum to supply the national and global poultry industry.


Ahmed Ali 90pxDr. Ahmed Ali, DVM, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Animal Behavior and Welfare of Animal and Veterinary Science Department at Clemson University

Dr. Ahmed Ali is a veterinarian and an accomplished Assistant Professor specializing in animal management and well-being at Clemson University. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Master of Science (M.S.) degrees from Cairo University, Egypt, and subsequently achieved a Ph.D. in Animal Behavior and Well-being from Michigan State University. Dr. Ali's extensive body of work encompasses a wide range of applied research endeavors, focusing on the evaluation of housing systems, dietary regimens, and management practices to assess their impact on the performance, behavior, and overall well-being of various animals, including laying hens, dairy cows, and equids.


Dag Henning 90pxDag Henning Edvardsen, R&D Manager Poultry Feed, Norgesfôr AS

Dag Henning Edvardsen graduated from Norwegian University of Life Sciences with a master's degree in Animal Science in 1987. He started immediately in a job as Product Manager Poultry Feed. Dag has been faithful to the feed industry most of all these years, but he had his first "detour" working at the same University with the topic "Feed technology in broiler nutrition" and later found himself in the position of being a Product Manager of the only premixer in Norway. Finally Dag went all in for poultry again when he started up in todays position as R&D Manager Poultry Feed at Norgesfôr AS in 2015. Dag is a dedicated poultry nutritionist.
