Dr. Eileen HAN Seung-Eun has 23 years of experience in the feed and animal nutrition and health industry with technical marketing & sales/management positions – developed a reliable human network within the industry. Dr. HAN has ten years’ management experience in the feed and animal health industry in Korea and 10 years’ technical marketing experience both in Korea and overseas. She has two years’ regional experience as a regional product manager – mycotoxin risk management based in Singapore, where the regional headquarter for the Asia Pacific region is located, and three years’ regional experience as a head of animal nutrition platform overseeing the development and delivery of a fully integrated brand and marketing strategies where more than U$30million sales revenue sits. Dr. HAN has comprehensive knowledge of animal nutrition and health and feed additives products such as mycotoxin deactivator, bio-emulsifiers, enzymes, probiotics, acidifiers, phytogenics, trace minerals, and vitamins with an MS degree in animal science and nutrition and a Ph.D. degree in animal immunology. She has conducted more than 100 seminars on mycotoxins and more than 20 seminars on bio-emulsifiers throughout Asia.
Cheol-Heui YUN, Professor, Seoul National University
Professor Cheol-Heui YUN grew up in Gwang-ju, a southwest of Republic of Korea. He was educated at the Chonnam National University for B. Sc. and the Seoul National University for his M. Sc. in the area of Animal Nutrition. Professor YUN completed his Ph. D. at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada in the area of immune modulation and mucosal immunology. Then, he pursued his professional career at leading research institutes in different region of the world including International Vaccine Institute (IVI, Seoul, Korea), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA, Greenbelt, MD, USA), National Institutes of Health (NIH, Bethesda, MD, USA) and Gothenburg University (Gothernburg, Sweden) where he undertook research related to stressors, vaccine, infection and host protective immunity. He published over 230 SCIE papers to date and has been the recipient of prestigious awards, including Seoul National University Excellence in Teaching Award (2018), Distinguished teaching award by Kukdam Foundation (2010), and official commendation for from the cabinet minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Korea (2007). He was invited as a professor at Seoul National University since 2006, and currently serves as a co Editor-in-Chief of Animal Bioscience, and editors of a number of societies including Frontiers in Immunology (Molecular Innate Immunity Section, and Cytokines and Soluble Mediators in Immunity Section), as an Ethics editor for the science editing, and Korean Journal of Women Health Nursing. On the other hand, he is acting as a Chair of Committee on Publication Ethics at the Korean Council of Science Editors (KCSE) and Secretary General of the Council of Asian Science Editors (CASE). Professor Cheol-Heui YUN, at Seoul National Univ, has focused on the action mechanism and modulation of host immune responses, interactive mucosal immunity, and immunometabolism. His interest on immune cells include DC, and (ab and gd) T and B cells. Vaccine and adjuvant studies are one of the most interest parts of the study with the concept of cross-presentation, T cell activation, memory cells. Not only mouse and humans but also domestic animals are key in the YUN's lab to achieve the goals, such as maximizing growth performance and health issues. Nutritional immunology in conjunction with mucosal immune modulation would be another area for upcoming issue in the lab.
