New Seasons Market announces new initiative

The organization is working with Vital Farms, Diestel Family Ranch, Mary's Chicken and other partners to support regenerative agriculture during Earth Month.

New Seasons Market is proud to announce "Building Better Soil for a Healthier Future," a collaborative effort with select vendor partners to support regenerative agriculture during Earth Month. Throughout April, more than 25 brands available at New Seasons Market’s 21 stores will donate one percent of their sales to Zero Foodprint, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing regenerative agricultural practices. Additionally, New Seasons Market will contribute one percent of its Partner Brand private label product sales to the cause.

CEO Nancy Lebold emphasizes, “Building Better Soil for a Healthier Future” is a testament to New Seasons Market’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability. This initiative reflects the belief that every small action contributes to a larger, positive impact on the planet.

The Earth Month program aims to fund transformative farming and ranching practices that focus on rebuilding soil health, rejuvenating ecosystems and promoting a more balanced agricultural landscape. By supporting practices that nurture the land and promote environmental restoration, New Seasons Market and its partners are paving the way for a more sustainable agricultural future.

Anthony Myint, executive director of Zero Foodprint, expresses excitement about the partnership, stating, “We’re proud to be working with New Seasons Market on creating an optimistic new normal in which we can all do our part to restore the climate while growing better food.”

Participating brands in the "Building Better Soil for a Healthier Future" initiative include egg producer Vital Farms, broiler producer Mary's Chicken, turkey producer Diestel Family Ranch and many more. New Seasons Market’s Partner Brand, a private label with a purpose, also contributes to the cause, with a portion of its sales going back into the community throughout the year.

Customers are encouraged to join the cause by shopping for their favorite products from these select brands throughout April. Together, we can make a lasting impact, nurturing the soil that nourishes us and fostering a flourishing future.
