A SALMET International GmbH AGK 4000/735 colony system can hold 33 birds in a unit of 4m (13') x 0.73m (2.4') in order to ensure complete accessability for the birds. All functional areas are available 2x per unit to allow birds a group-formation. Functional areas including laying, eating, resting, and stratching, are separated. Crosswise positioned perches create a calm atmosphere in front of the nest area. Perches on different levels allow additional living and resting space.
