FMC FoodTech offers the GCO-II spiral oven. It has been designed based on feedback from customers and it has been developed and testing to ensure cooking success, offering higher yields and throughput, better steam containment, improved mesh belt design and enhanced vertical airflow. These features, coupled with a supplementary impingement section, give food manufacturers greater flexibility and produces higher volumes at a faster pace, significantly reduce maintenance costs. The oven offers MultiPhase cooking, consisting of three distinct cooking processes: the initial phase uses steam and condensation to lock moisture into the product; then, heated air and super-heated steam quickly cook the product; and finally, the supplementary impingement stage adds additional surface colour development.
