Green Energy Nevada, LLC, a company specializing in green energy, environmental and ecological solutions, has plans to start a pasture-raised organic egg and poultry meat plant in Hawthorne, Nev. The company is investing $20 million in the project.

The Green Energy Nevada poultry project received approval from the Mineral County Board of County Commissioners and the planning commission to move forward with producing pasture raised organic products within three months, according to a press release from Mineral County.

With the project, Green Energy Nevada is focused on becoming the exclusive supplier of Nevada Grown pasture raised organic poultry products.

"We believe by developing a reliable supply chain filled with healthier products and most likely at lower prices as well as proximity and business structure in Nevada, such an alliance will be a tremendous boost to Nevada's economy," said Arvind Nair, chief operations officer for Green Energy Nevada.

Green Energy Nevada plans to employ between 500 and 1,000 people in 2014, and a special graduation ceremony for the first group of employee trainees is scheduled for May 17.
