AFIA releases downloadable presentation on careers in Ag

The American Feed Industry Association's Networking, Education and Mentoring in Agriculture Committee (NEMA) is providing AFIA members with an easy-to-use PowerPoint template outlining occupations in the animal food industry.

Careers in agriculture are gaining interest, and the American Feed Industry Association's Networking, Education and Mentoring in Agriculture Committee (NEMA) wants to provide AFIA members with an easy-to-use PowerPoint template outlining occupations in the animal food industry. Many leaders in agriculture--including AFIA membership--are often offered to speak to the future of agriculture (FFA, 4-H, high school or collegiate students, etc.) about the potential of a future career in agriculture, or more specifically in the animal food industry.

This one-stop-shop resource highlights numerous roles specifically pertaining to animal feed such as human resources, finance and accounting, lab technicians and managers, feed mill engineers, operators and managers, animal nutritionists, and regulatory managers. Details are also provided about job tasks as well as varying salaries per degree and discipline.
