Allen Harim employee named Delaware's Outstanding Waste Water Operator

A deputy wastewater plant operator at Allen Harim, a leading producer and processor of chicken on Delmarva, was named Delaware’s Wastewater Operator of the Year in a ceremony last week at Delaware Technical Community College.

Jeff Bailey, a deputy wastewater plant operator at Allen Harim’s Harbeson chicken processing facility, was named Delaware’s Wastewater Operator of the Year by Delaware Technical Community College. Allen Harim is a leading producer and processor of chicken on Delmarva.
Bailey also oversees the company’s Dagsboro spray irrigation facility. When a manager was out of the office for an unexpected period of time, Bailey stepped up and took on even more responsibility with professionalism and expertise, according to Michael Sause, Director of Wastewater at Allen Harim.
“Jeff Bailey’s work ethic, his innovative solutions for conserving water and his ability to find solutions, are just a few of the reasons he was nominated for the accolades,” Sause said. “I can honestly say he’s the best I’ve ever worked with,” he added.
The awards are presented annually to wastewater operators who have demonstrated outstanding technical excellence and an exemplary work ethic while contributing to the high level of water quality in Delaware.
