Aviagen teams from France and the Middle East and Africa (MEA) recently met with customers at the 30th annual SPACE agricultural exhibition held near Rennes, France. During these meetings, Aviagen specialists from R&D, nutrition and product support were on hand to offer management advice.
As 2016 marks the anniversary of Aviagen’s Ross brand, the Aviagen France team was there to discuss the Ross 308 and Ross PM3: the core product offering in the French market. Slower-growing birds are of particular interest in the French market and therefore Aviagen’s alternative product range, the Rowan Range, proved a popular topic of discussion during the show.
Meanwhile, Aviagen’s MEA team met with customers of Arbor Acres, a market-leading brand in the region’s French-speaking countries such as Tunisia and Algeria, where Aviagen holds a market share of 60 percent or higher.
Thierry Rolland, general manager, Aviagen France, said, “Our support team visits customers and offers management advice throughout the year. However, SPACE offers a great platform to meet in person and have detailed discussions on products, performance and market developments. The team was on hand to support customers with their product choices and offer appropriate consultation on ways to get the highest level of performance from their products.”
Michael Garden, Aviagen business manager MEA, added, “Although SPACE has historically been a show aimed at the French market, it is becoming increasingly important for the MEA region and the Arbor Acres brand in particular. SPACE provides the ideal opportunity to connect with customers from these countries and from others across parts of North, Central and West Africa.”
Florian Blevin, Aviagen senior technical manager Arbor Acres, MEA, and Zied Azzez, Aviagen technical manager Arbor Acres for MEA, presented at the SPACE International Conference, providing insight on the impact of hot weather on fertility at the breeder level.
