Asian poultry veteran Dr. Esmeraldo ‘Esmi’ San Pedro is now general manager for Cobb Philippines.
“I am confident that Esmi’s extensive hands-on experience in all stages of production with both broiler and layer breeders, as well as his in-depth understanding of the Asian poultry business, will have a positive impact on the performance of Cobb Philippines,” said Fred Kao, director of operations for Cobb Asia-Pacific.
San Pedro has a doctor of veterinary medicine degree and a bachelor of science in animal husbandry, both from Central Luzon State University (Philippines).
Before joining Cobb, he was vice-president (commercial) at Aviagen (Indian River) and also served as the company’s technical service manager from 2009 to 2016 where his role included developing customer relationships. Previously, he was general manager at PT Sierad Produce (Indonesia) from 2004 to 2008, and breeder supervisor and technical assistant at San Miguel Foods (Philippines) from 1993 to 2004.
