For the first time, Farmer Focus Organic chicken, the premier brand of Shenandoah Valley Organic (SVO), will exhibit at the Annual Meat Conference on March 4 (booth 127). The sales team will be offering cooked samples of fresh product, and will introduce new value-added, fully cooked products launching in late Spring, along with showcasing their full fresh product line, including Garlic and Herb Butterflied and Seasoned Spatchcock Whole Chicken, Boneless Skinless Breasts with Lemon Pepper, and Boneless Skinless Thighs with Teriyaki Style seasoning.

Shenandoah Valley Organic Chicken is both Certified Organic and Certified Humane, and its unique Farm ID code allows consumers to see the actual farm and farmer that the package they are holding came from and read about the farmer’s story. Jefferson Heatwole, co-founder and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, has sought to set a new standard in the industry. “Being able to buy chicken from a company that not only embraces the organic standards, but chooses to go above and beyond those standards, is of the utmost importance to us because we believe that trust and transparency is just as crucial as the quality of the product.”

Nearly 94% of all consumers are more likely to be loyal to a brand when it commits to full transparency according to a 2016 Label Insights study, and Farmer Focus offers the highest level of transparency in the industry. The brand stands out among the fast-growing organic chicken category. In another study from Pew Research Center one third of consumers said they were purchasing more organic foods in 2017 over the previous year, and according to Mintel, meat, poultry and seafood trail only fresh fruits and vegetables among categories organic consumers shop, with poultry being the top organic meat purchased.

AMC attendees will see how Shenandoah Valley Organic is disrupting the organic chicken category and delivering on consumer demands for transparency and convenience with its expanding product line.
