OK Foods has promoted Michele Foster to senior vice president and corporate controller.
Foster will succeed Scott Hunter, who was named OK Foods’ chief financial officer (CFO) in 2012. Hunter will remain a strategic adviser to the company during this transition period, according to a press release from OK Foods.
Foster started her career in the poultry industry 1987. In 2013, she was named corporate controller for OK Foods.
“Michele’s extensive experience and deep knowledge of the poultry industry will be a huge asset to OK Foods as we further our mission to nourish the world,” said OK Foods President and CEO Trent Goins. “We are grateful to Scott for his valuable contributions and wish him the best as he begins his well-deserved retirement.”
Jennifer House named senior director of accounting
Additionally, OK Foods has promoted Jennifer House to senior director of accounting from her previous position of Director of Tax and SOX.
House, who is a certified public accountant and holds a Master of Business Administration degree, started with OK Foods in 2013, bringing 13 years of professional accounting experience to the company.

Headquartered in Fort Smith, Arkansas, OK Foods is the 16th largest broiler company in the United States. In 2018, the company processed 13.88 million pounds of ready-to-cook chicken on a weekly basis. OK Foods, which has operations in both Arkansas and Oklahoma, was founded more than 70 years ago and was acquired by Industrias Bachoco, Mexico’s largest poultry company, in 2011.
In other recent personnel news, OK Foods, which employs more than 4,000 people, increased the base pay rate for hourly production workers in the two states. That move affected about 2,000 workers. It also recently launched an employee incentive program in which workers with an exemplary attendance record had their names entered into a quarterly drawing.
