Tyson Foods employee injured at Omaha bacon plant

Tyson Foods said it is investigating an incident in which a employee was injured at its bacon plant in Omaha, Nebraska.

Tyson Foods said it is investigating an incident in which a employee was injured at its bacon plant in Omaha, Nebraska.

According to an emailed statement from the company, the worker was wiping down a conveyor when the accident occurred, and that person was “taken to a local hospital for treatment.”

While no further information on the incident has been released by the company at this time, the Omaha World Herald reported that the victim was a woman, and that her hand got caught in the conveyor, and that she experienced blood loss and suffered deformities. The accident occurred around 6 p.m.
