Those facilities recognized with the "Award of Distinction" include five processing and further processing facilities of Perdue Farms, Pilgrim's Corp.'s feed mill and premium protein products plant, and two processing facilities and one hatchery operated by Wayne Farms LLC. A complete list of all winners can be found on the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association website.

Award consideration was based on injury statistics over a three-year period and an evaluation of written applications by a panel of three judges. Awards were presented to 56 facilities in the categories of "Award of Honor," "Award of Merit" and the top honor, "Award of Distinction."
