From WATTAgNet:
An environmental group’s attempt to stop the development of a poultry farm near Salisbury, Maryland, in the Delmarva Peninsula, has been blocked by a Wicomico County Circuit Court judge.
A group called Concerned Citizens Against Industrial CAFOs (concentrated animal feeding operation) had tried to file an appeal in November 2016 to the farm’s building permit, but the Wicomico Board of Appeals decided not to hear the case. Judge S. James “Jimmy” Sarbanes' ruling on August 3 upheld the board of appeals’ decision to not hear the case.
The permit would allow 10 poultry houses to be constructed, which would be the largest poultry farm in the county.
