WATT Global Media is donating three framed poultry breed prints from its Historical Breed Collection to the National Poultry & Food Distributors Association (NPFDA) to be sold during NPFDA’s silent auction, which will be take place at its annual convention and showcase, scheduled for February 11-14, in Atlanta.
The framed three prints being donated are:
- S.C. Rhode Island Reds, painted in 1944 by A. O. Schilling
- White Holland Turkeys, painted in 1927, also by A.O. Schilling
- Golden Spangled Hamburgs, painted in 1926 by L. A. Stahmer
Proceeds from the auction will go toward the NPFDA scholarship fund.
“Through our members’ generosity NPFDA has been able to award scholarships to future poultry industry leaders every year,” the organization stated on its website. “The NPFDA Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships to outstanding students who are enrolled full-time and pursuing an Agriculture, Poultry Science, Food Science, Food Marketing or related degree. The NPFDA Scholarship Foundation was established in 1979. Since that time, the foundation has awarded over $224,000.00 in scholarships to outstanding students.”
The NPFDA 2019 Annual Convention and Showcase will be held in conjunction with the International Production & Processing Expo.
