IPPE educational programs and workshops will be held Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, through Friday, Jan. 31, 2020, and will feature more than 200 hours centered on the most current industry issues. Recall management in the meat and poultry industry
Monday, Jan. 27, 1-5 p.m.
Registration fee: $200

You can never be too prepared for a meat and poultry recall. Recalls related to pathogens, foreign material and undeclared allergens continue to be an issue for the industry, and recent shared experiences have helped the industry learn more about the best management strategies and techniques. This workshop will discuss recall management before, during and after, including lessons learned during recalls, regulatory requirements, technology advancements, and communications.

The American Feed Industry Association’s nutrition committee is hosting a program in 2020 focused on biosecurity as it pertains to foreign animal diseases such as foot and mouth disease, African swine fever and avian influenza.
