US Pete & Gerry’s challenges egg consumers to a dance-off

The egg producer is partnering with Minor League Baseball to give consumers a chance to win a month’s supply of eggs.

Egg consumers in the U.S. could win a month’s supply of Pete & Gerry’s eggs, thanks to a partnership between the producer and Minor League Baseball (MLB).

During every other 2024 in-season home MLB game, two contestants will be selected to participate in Pete & Gerry’s Home Run Eggs™ Shelly’s Shake Ya Tailfeather Dance-Off for the opportunity to win a month’s supply of Pete & Gerry’s eggs.

The two fans will be featured on the big screen at the game and asked to show off their best chicken dance moves. The contestant with the loudest cheers from the crowd will be named the winner.

“Having personally worked with professional baseball for many years, I’m thrilled to bring the Pete & Gerry’s brand to MLB for family fun and local connection, while educating consumers on the animal welfare and nutritional benefits of our premium eggs,” stated Tom Flocco, Pete & Gerry’s CEO.

Additionally, Pete & Gerry’s plans to connect with egg consumers throughout the season using MLB social media channels and is partnering with retailers across the country for sweepstakes opportunities.

Through the partnership, Pete & Gerry’s is designating itself as the official egg of MLB for the 2024 season and plans to make appearances in 60 clubs and ballpark locations across the U.S.

The collaboration is similar to the producer’s partnership with Major League Baseball in 2023, in which it gave fans the chance to win tickets to 2023’s All-Star Week events through a scavenger hunt to find the Pete & Gerry’s hen Shelly and an "egg ball" in T-Mobile Park, in Seattle, Washington.
