Atria improves sustainability rating

The company made a three-notch improvement from 2022.

Atria has attained a Management Level and earned a "B-" rating in CDP's annual Climate Change Assessment, marking a three-notch improvement from 2022. This recognition underscores Atria's systematic approach and dedication to climate action. Merja Leino, vice president of corporate responsibility, expresses a commitment to achieving a carbon-neutral food chain in both operations and the value chain.

Reporting sustainability efforts through CDP since 2019, Atria's emission reduction targets have received approval from the Science Based Targets Initiative, aligning with the Paris Climate Agreement's 1.5-degree Celsius goal. Atria pledges a 42% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 compared to 2020 levels and a 20% reduction in Scope 3 emissions per tonne of processed meat by 2030.

CDP, a global non-profit, manages the world's environmental disclosure system, with over 25,000 organizations participating in 2023.
