In August 2024, Curt Calaway was named Tyson Foods chief financial officer. That same month, Devin Cole succeeded Amy Tu as Tyson International President. Cole previously worked for the company from 1995 to 2014. In November 2024, Kyle Narron was appointed as Tyson Prepared Foods president. Narron previously served as Tyson’s senior vice president of the Pork and Prepared Foods segments.
In 2024, Tyson Foods continued to make changes to its poultry complexes. In April 2024, Tyson Foods officially closed its poultry complex in Corydon, Indiana. The company first announced plans to close the plant in August 2023. In July 2024, Tyson agreed to sell its Vienna, Georgia poultry complex to House of Raeford. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. In December 2024, Tyson Fresh Meats shared plans to close a plant in Emporia, Kansas in 2025. The operations will be consolidated into another Tyson facility in the state. In December 2024, Tyson announced the plan closure of two plants associated with the Original Philly business located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2025.
