The European Competition Authority and the Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority have approved ForFarmers Group's acquisition of UK feed company BOCM PAULS, which was announced on March 29. The transfer of shares will take place on July 11, at which point BOCM PAULS will form part of the ForFarmers Group.
The acquisition will make ForFarmers the largest feed company in Europe. Iain Gardner, currently BOCM PAULS chief operating officer, will assume responsibility for the operational management of BOCM PAULS as chief executive. ForFarmers will have 2,500 employees and an annual turnover of €6.6 billion.
