HatchTech won EuroTier's innovation of the year award in the poultry category for its HatchBrood product, a system which reduces stress in the brooding period of a chicken.
"HatchBrood is a system that balances and controls all of the crucial environmental variables during the brooding period, ensuring that all chicks maintain a uniform and optimum body temperature," said award judges. "A carefully controlled brooding environment has been proven to deliver better results. It leads to lower mortality and reduces the need of antibiotics in poultry."
