The Minnesota Turkey Growers Association has honored three individuals this year for showing true dedication and commitment to the goals of the association, according to a press release by MTGA.
Outgoing MTGA President Kim Gorans presented the awards to Dr. Rob Porter, University of Minnesota; Dr. Steven Clark, Alpharma; and Peter Gruhl, Hybrid Turkeys, at the MTGA’s annual meeting in St. Paul on March 19.
Porter and Clark served as co-coordinators of the 2008 Gold Medal Panel on Turkey Clostridial Dermatitis and took the lead on coordinating the conference proceedings by writing and reviewing articles for the February issue of Gobbles.
Peter Gruhl was honored for his time and efforts in assisting the association with several site visits of poultry research facilities in Germany.
