Workshop will address poultry processing issues

Agenda developed by a program committee of experienced plant managers and processing specialists

The 2009 Poultry Processor Workshop will keep plant management informed on food safety, advancing technology, customer and consumer expectations, and ever-changing government inspection programs. Sponsored by U.S. Poultry & Egg Association’s Poultry & Egg Institute, this year’s conference will be held May 13-14, in Atlanta.

“The responsibilities of processing plant management seem to get more and more complicated,” said program committee chairman Bob Lauxen, Keystone Foods. “Yield has traditionally been at the top of the priority list in poultry processing, but the list of challenges continues to expand. This year’s program will make sure that we stay up to date,” Lauxen added.

The agenda was developed by a program committee of experienced plant managers and processing specialists.
