Poultry integrator OOO PF Akashevskaya, located in the Republic of Mari El, Russia, has invested in four new hatcheries being commissioned in 2013.

The first hatchery of 65 million eggs is already being constructed, and the second and third (31 and 14 million eggs per year, respectively) will be delivered in the second half of 2013, according to the company. Akashevskaya has also signed deal for the delivery of a fourth hatchery for parent stock (15 million eggs per year) that will bring the total capacity of the company to 150 million eggs per year.

Akashevskaya has selected Petersime to supply the incubators, type BioStreamer. Petersime is also providing the hatcheries' HVAC equipment. Petersime distributor in Russia Hartmann GmbH is coordinating the entire project: hatchery layout, delivery, installation, commissioning and training of local staff.

The three companies have been working together since 2009, when Akashevskaya invested in its first hatchery of 25 million eggs per year. The construction of the three new hatcheries is part of an extension program at Akashevskaya: the total meat production volume will increase from 60,000 metric tons to 200,000 metric tons per year, according to the company.
