Animal Health International Inc. appoints equine national sales manager

Animal Health International Inc. announces Joseph Manning, DVM, has joined the company as equine national sales manager. Dr. Manning will be based in Colorado and will report to Companion Animal Group President Mark Ziller.

Animal Health International Inc. announces Joseph Manning, DVM, has joined the company as equine national sales manager. Dr. Manning will be based in Colorado and will report to Companion Animal Group President Mark Ziller.

Immediately prior to joining Animal Health International, Dr. Manning served as senior technical services manager for Merck Animal Health's Equine business unit and received the company's Circle of Excellence Award in 2012. Prior to Merck Animal Health, Dr. Manning practiced equine veterinary medicine in two of the largest equine practices in the western United States.
"Joseph brings over 22 years of experience in equine care to Animal Health International's Equine Division," says Ziller. "His practice experience includes all aspects of equine veterinary medicine-surgery, performance medicine, reproduction, general medicine and, importantly, successful practice management. He'll be a tremendous resource to Animal Health International and a true partner to our equine veterinary customers. We're glad to have him aboard."

Dr. Manning studied at Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine, where he earned both his Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Dr. Manning earned his Master of Business Administration degree at Texas Christian University's Neeley School of Business, with a concentration in Marketing.

Dr. Manning is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the Society for Theriogenology, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association, the Denver Area Veterinary Medical Association and the Texas Veterinary Medical Association.
