Registration now available for meat and poultry processing facility tours at 2014 IPPE

IPPE attendees have opportunity to see Birchwood Foods, Tyson Foods operations

Registration is now available for meat and poultry processing facility tours, sponsored by the American Meat Institute, as part of the 2014 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE). IPPE attendees can tour a beef or poultry processing facility and learn from first-hand experience at either the Birchwood Foods facility in Norcross, Ga., or the Tyson Foods facility in Cumming, Ga.

Attendees will get an up-close look at food safety processes and worker safety initiatives through a comprehensive tour of the processing plants. A question and answer session with plant staff, exclusive for attendees, will follow the tour. Limited space is available, and processor attendees must be 18 years or older to participate.

The 2014 IPPE, the world's largest annual poultry, feed, and meat industry events, will be held January 28-30 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. The tours will take place simultaneously from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on January 27, and the registration fee is $99.
